University Campus in Payson Committee Attends Health Fair

Committee Members Discuss the University Status With a Fair Attendee

The annual health fair held recently at Julia Randall Elementary School was a big success based on feedback we received at the University Campus in Payson Booth.

Members from the Volunteer Committee for A University Campus in Payson manned the booth and spoke with health fair attendees about the location of the campus, funding, size, timing, the purchase of the land, and many other topics.

The committee also distributed information about the town survey being conducted this month. A link to the survey can be found under “Town News” on the Town of Payson website at paysonaz.gov.

Prior to the fair, members and friends of the committee also baked cookies in many delicious varieties for the fair-goers. Rumor was they were all calorie free, since this was a health fair! At any rate, calories or not, they were enjoyed by all.

The committee also sponsored a game of “Are You a SMARTIE?” which required fair-goers to guess how many SMARTIE candies were in the jar. This got a lot of participation, so there are many guesses to sort through. We will announce the winner next week!
